I got the opportunity to welcome home one of our armed service members about 2 weeks ago. His wife Jessica asked me to come along to surprise him and capture the event on camera. It was very exciting for Jessica as she and Sam had only been married a month when he was deployed. I’ll let the photos tell the rest of the story.
Just finished up with these awesome pics of Kellan at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. I met Alayna and Kellan early one Saturday late in November to shoot these. We went to the gardens to take advantage of some of their early Christmas festivities. They had a little train that the kids could ride around the central part of the grounds as well as a large outdoor model train display. We were hoping to also take advantage of their 40 foot poinsettia Christmas tree that they put up for Christmas but it hadn’t been put up yet. We were bummed about that but we still managed to have a great time. To make up for a missed Christmas tree shoot I followed Alayna and Kellan home to shoot a few extra photos in another outfit.
Liam Micah Overmon – The First Week
I know many of you have been asking for more photos of Liam. Managed to pick out a few of my favorites and get them up for everyone. Enjoy!
Liam’s First Week
Just started going through some of my favorite photos from some of my trips and events. These are some great photos from when my wife and I took a huge trip to the Bahamas before she started medical school. We went to the out island of Eleuthera and we really enjoyed the beauty and simplicity of the island. The island is not heavily touristed, so we found ourselves alone on many of the beaches we visited, which suited us just fine. It especially suited my camera and I. Check out these favorites of mine. I couldn’t help showing off my wife a little bit also!
In the summer of 2008, Allison and I headed to our friends’ wedding held in Cambridge, England. The groom was a graduate of Cambridge, and he was also planning to start a doctorate at Oxford soon and move there with his new bride, Emily. An England-based wedding was very fitting, and theirs had all the traditions along with it. It was a great experience for all! Here are a few wedding pictures from the event.
All of my photos from our trip to Haiti have now been uploaded to galleries hosted through Mercer University. Feel free to go check them out at http://gallery.mercer.edu/Medical-School/Haiti-Trip-July-2010

Katie and Ryan asked me to do some last minute engagement shots and here’s a look at the first round. She wanted some more formal shots for using with her Save The Date she is sending out. We met at a blueberry patch northwest of Macon at 6:30 am. It was early but we got some good pics. I shot some more fun shots as well that will be ready later on. Enjoy.
